1 Emily Stewart

Emily was born in Ontario 3 Apr 1851. She married John M. Chidlow 28 April 1871. She resided Colborne Township, Ontario 1881. Emily died 23 Aug 1908 Wingham, Huron, Ontario, Canada, at 57 years of age. Her body was interred 1908 in Kincardine.  Descendants of John and Emily

2 Colquhoun Stewart

Colquhoun was born Dundee, Angus, Scotland 22 April 1803. He was baptized in the Church of Scotland in Dundee, 23 Apr 1803. Colquhoun was a seaman and became Captain of a whaling vessel. He married Bathia Ower Dundee, 18 Feb 1831. He emigrated, 1840 to Colborne township, Huron county, Upper Canada (now Ontario) and farmed near Goderich.  He married Isabella Kennedy Colborne Township, Ontario, 1863. Colquhoun died 1877 Huron County, at 74 years of age.  Descendants of Colquhoun and Bathia

3 Bathia Ower

Bathia was born Dundee, Angus, Scotland 1813. She married Colquhoun Stewart Dundee, Angus, Scotland, 18 Feb 1831. Their children: James Stewart baptised 23 Dec 1831; Elizabeth Stewart died aged 14; Robert Stewart b. 17 July 1834;  Margaret Black Stewart baptised 14 May 1837 Newtyle, Angus, Scotland married Alfred Morris; John Hay Stewart b. c. 1837; Jemima Stewart b. c. 1842 married Thomas Allin Stevens; Bathia Stewart born 9 Apr 1842 married Andrew Dart; Cecelia Stewart b. c. 1844; Mary Stewart b. c. 1849 married William Morris and 1 Emily Stewart.  Bathia died about 1855.

4 Duncan Stewart

He married Elizabeth Spence Dundee, Angus, Scotland, 15 Feb 1793. Duncan's occupation: weaver Dundee,  before 1803.

5 Elizabeth Spence

She married Duncan Stewart in Dundee, 15 Feb 1793. Their children: John Stewart baptised 23 March 1794,  Mary Will Stewart baptised 27 Aug 1797, 2 Colquhoun Stewart (1803-1877) and Elizabeth Stewart baptised 29 Sept 1805 and Cecelia Stewart baptised 9 Feb 1812.

6 John Ower

He was a weaver in Dundee, Angus, Scotland, 30 July 1803. He married Margaret Hay Dundee, 16 Aug 1803. John's occupation: seaman Dundee in 1831.  John died 26 May 1831 in New York.

7 Margaret Hay

She married John Ower Dundee, Angus, Scotland, 16 Aug 1803.  Their children were: James Hay Ower b. 1804, Robert Ower b. 1805, Elizabeth Ower b. 1806, William Ower b. 1809, John Ower b. 1811, 3 Bathia Ower and Hay Ower b. 1814.

10 David Spence

David died before February 1793.

 

12 John Ower

John was a weaver.  He married Cecil Wright in Perth, Perth, Scotland on 28 Apr 1777.

13 Cecil Wright

Cecil was born in Perth 6 July 1756.  She married John Ower in Perth on 28 Apr 1777.  Their children were: Robert Ower (1777-1844), Margaret Ower b. 1780 married John Keill, 6 John Ower, Jean Ower b. 1783, Janet Ower b. 1785, May Ower b. 1787, Cicil Ower b. 1789 married Archibald Dewar, William Ower (1791-1865) and David Ower (1798-1881).
